I am an Independent Senior in Houston looking for a retirement community

My family wants me to move into a retirement community but I'm not willing to give up my independent living. I looked at one retirement community that was close to my family but there were very few residents in the independent living area. I am a Indepenedent Senior in Houston and I have to be able to find a community that has other Independent Seniors in Houston. If I can't find a retirement community with a large independent living section I'm going to stay in my house even if it means upsetting my family.
